To all potential participants of 10AFAF

The Asian Fisheries Society welcomes both members and guests
to our 10th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum(10AFAF).
The Society holds these events every three years to review the
status and trends of fisheries and aquaculture in Asia and to
promote exchange of ideas and research that will support the
sustainable development of fisheries and aquaculture
in the future.
|
The forum aims to give everyone a
chance to present their research methods and findings either as an
oral presentation or poster presentation, especially students. At
the 9th AFAF held in Shanghai , China PR, April 21-23, 2011, 877
abstracts were reviewed by the 9AFAF Secretariat including
147 for 9th International Symposium on Tilapia Aquaculture (9ISTA)
and the 4th International Symposium of Stock Enhancement and Sea
Ranching (4ISSESR). A total of 772 abstracts were included in 9AFAF
BOOK OF ABSTRACT, and 400 oral presentations were given on 22
sessions during forum and 175 posters were presented to an audience
in excess of 750 participants.
This is a great
chance to catch up with what is happening in the very dynamic
fisheries and aquaculture sectors in Asia and a chance to build
networks of other researchers with similar interests and also meet
some of the important policy decision makers and influential
private companies that will guide the future development of
fisheries and aquaculture in Asia.
If you are
interested, but worried about the cost of getting to Yoesu, Korea,
AFS and its country Branches have some assistance for the lucky
winners of support.
Stay informed about
the 10AFAF through its official website and connected to AFS's
website as well.
I hope to see you there.
